I have established a very comfortable life for myself and feel ready to share my time with a someone special. I have worked for the same organization just over 30 years and I am very excited about my upcoming new chapter in life ~ retirement. Planning is in place and my date has been set . . . oh, I am so excited.
I go to the gym 2-3 times a week without fail, on the days I don't go to the gym I do a power walk around Coal Harbour. I also like to keep active with the many outdoor activities our city has to offer, a walk along a seawall or through a park or a hike in our many trails ~ I do have many favourites.
I am very content with my life and have found happiness within myself. I can usually be found puttering about in my garden, a hobby I have had for many years, something about having my hands in the soil gives me a feeling of being grounded. Spending a couple hours in my garden always does wonders for my soul. I can also be found lounging with a good book, not a reader . . has to be a book. I also have a great circle of friends and when I do decide to head out, it's usually to a venue where I can enjoy live music and a dance or two, I try to do this at least once a week as I find both music and dancing are good for my well being.
I am very passionate about life and very young at heart, glass half full type of gal and choose to live my life in a positive light. I love to laugh and smile every day. That is not to say that I don't encounter tough times, we all do . . I have the ability to find the positive in even the most negative of circumstances. I consider myself a lifelong learner and have overcome many challenges along the way. Life is way too short to dwell on things we can not change.
I discovered a long ago that I love the adventure of a roadtrip exploring new places and things. Some of my most memorable roadtrips were from England to Scotland, the South Island of New Zealand to the North Island, the coast of California and one I hope to do again is the Oregon Coast. I love beaches and sunshine . . . but who doesn't? I have visited many beaches around our world and hope to see many more in my future.
